Is this house haunted?
No, it was built in 1986 as a law office.
Why is it named Halpino?
Pronounced HalPINEo, which was the name of a Warren County plantation. Worst name ever — no one can pronounce it.
What time is check-in?
Or check-in is between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. If you do arrive prior to 3pm, we can not guarantee your room will be ready, however, please contact us. If we can get you in earlier than 3pm, we will.
How do I get in?
We do not keep staff on site at Halpino. You will enter using the coded front door and find a lockbox to the right of the door to your room. We will send you the codes the day of check-in.
Is check-in available after 6 PM?
Yes. You may use the lockboxes at any time. Please remember when coming in very late that there may be other guests upstairs, and the Caldwells are downstairs.
May I cancel my reservation if my plans change?
You may cancel up to the morning of the third day before check-in.
When will you charge me?
After the 3-day cancellation period closes.
What time is breakfast? Where is breakfast?
8:30 AM at the Duff Green Mansion, 1114 First East Street.
What time is my free tour of the Duff Green Mansion?
Our tour starts immediately after the completion of breakfast.
What can I do if my TV doesn’t work?
The TVs at Halpino are internet-based. Please use your streaming service.
Where is the pool and when does it close?
You have pool privileges at the Duff Green Mansion, 1114 First East Street. It closes when other guests complain that you are making too much noise.
What food is available at Halpino?
We do not provide food at Halpino. We provide water, an ice machine, and coffee for breakfast in your shared dining room. Breakfast is included and is served at our sister property Duff Green Mansion which is very near by.
Is laundry service available?
Unfortunately, no. If you do need a room with a washer and dryer, you may want to consider booking Duff Green Suite at our sister property Duff Green Mansion.
Is Halpino pet friendly?
We have no pet friendly rooms available at Halpino. If you are traveling with a pet, please consider one of the pet friendly rooms at our sister properties Duff Green Mansion or Steele Cottage.
