Is this house haunted?

No, it was built in 1986 as a law office.

Why is it named Halpino?

Pronounced HalPINEo, which was the name of a Warren County plantation. Worst name ever — no one can pronounce it.

What time is check-in?

Official check-in is between 3 and 6 PM, but you may have the room anytime it is ready. Please call to confirm the room is ready unless you arrive at 3 PM or after. We guarantee it will be ready then.

How do I get in?

We do not keep staff on site at Halpino. You will enter using the coded front door and find a lockbox to the right of the door to your room. We will send you the codes the day of check-in.

Is check-in available after 6 PM?

Yes. You may use the lockboxes at any time. Please remember when coming in very late that there may be other guests upstairs, and the Caldwells are downstairs.

What is the Wi-Fi username and password?

May I cancel my reservation if my plans change?

You may cancel up to the morning of the third day before check-in.

When will you charge me?

After the 3-day cancellation period closes.

After breakfast.

What can I do if my TV doesn’t work?

The TVs at Halpino are internet-based. Please use your streaming service.

Where is the pool and when does it close?

You have pool privileges at the Duff Green Mansion, 1114 First East Street. It closes when other guests complain that you are making too much noise.

What food is available at Halpino?

None. We provide water, and there is an ice machine and coffee for breakfast in your shared dining room downstairs.

Is laundry service available?

Unfortunately, no.
